Classification: Staff Full time
Reports to: Director of MAP Programs Administration
Location: Remote, with the ability to travel to campuses and other locations
Compensation: $27/hr

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator II supports the MAP Programs Administration in organizing and managing administrative operations for the MA Psychology Low Residency Department at the Los Angeles campus. Program Coordinator roles generally involve a great variety of tasks and responsibilities centering on support for both faculty and students, with responsibility for managing and implementing systems for scheduling classes, organizing orientations for new students and for adjunct faculty, and more. The Program Coordinator II role is particularly responsible for managing all Department student services. The Program Coordinator II reports to the Director of MAP Program Administration and works in collaboration with other Department staff.

The Program Coordinator II is the primary front-facing position for students and alumni, and manages and oversees all the back-office management related to a highly complex MAP LR Program.

The Program Coordinator II supervises Federal Work Study positions (2-4). The Program Coordinator II position requires self-direction and autonomy, a high degree of latitude in decision making and problem solving, and exercises initiative, accuracy, accountability, and service excellence in the performance of administrative functions. The Program Coordinator maintains confidentiality on issues related to faculty hiring, salary information, student status and performance, student and faculty grievances, and other program concerns.
The Program Coordinator II has detailed knowledge of, and can articulate the structure and content of the MAP LR Program, including requirements, curriculum, policies, procedures, standards, philosophy, and long-range plans and strategies.

The Program Coordinator II is a significant contributor to program development, marketing and outreach, and student recruitment and retention.
