Responsibilities

This is an audit lead role that provides an analytical strategy and approach for developing, implementing and maintaining a data analytics program and analytical tools with the objective of optimizing the use of data to support the internal audit activities (risk assessment, planning, testing, reporting and follow-up) while continuously growing the department's use of continuous monitoring and auditing strategies as well as supporting the audit team members in the development of analytics.

The primary responsibility of the Lead of Internal Audit Data Analytics is to produce and guide the audit team in the production of analytical solutions including data integration, manipulation and solution design, translating business needs into sustainable and high-quality deliverables. This includes understanding our internal and external customer needs for data and metrics.

The Lead works with all level of management and as a working Lead, indirectly supervises the audit team on projects using analytics. The Lead will work with the auditors to grow the data analytics program, automate routine audits, and conceptualize audits of new areas. The Lead is also responsible for performing the audit procedures as outlined in their assigned audit work program.

The Lead keeps current knowledge of audit techniques and principles and meet CPE requirements to preserve professional certification.
