Job description
Collage Group is looking to hire a Survey Operations Analyst as part of our Research and Data Operations team. You will work with a group of specialists that manage the survey-related tasks to support our syndicated insights research team and our product and technology team. Tasks will include: partnering with other teams to understand survey needs, programming surveys, managing surveys in field, ensuring data quality, and progressively taking on analytics and database management tasks.
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have strong attention to detail, the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, comfort with quantitative analysis and survey research, and creative problem-solving skills.
The Research and Data Operations team:
The Research and Data Operations team is a part of the Product and Technology function at Collage Group. With expertise in survey methodology in conjunction with world class data collection technology, we are able to provide resourceful intel and insights for our business partners. We provide the data behind our custom and syndicated research products, and are trusted advisers to our clients for all of their survey and data needs.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Executing stand-alone survey projects including survey programming, quota generation, and data collection for a variety of study types
- Managing surveys while in field, including quota updates and vendor communication
- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) on datasets to ensure accuracy
- Managing the collection and storage of survey assets include survey documents, images, ads, etc.
- Creating crosstabs and toplines for researchers to review
- Analyzing third party data to assess fit with in-house data assets, using python and SQL
- Managing data transfers between platform and database using python and SQL
- Performing such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time at the Company’s discretion
About You And What You’ve Done
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of survey statistics and survey methodology.
- Knowledge of and comfort working in excel.
- Some familiarity with SQL, Python, C, C++ or other general-purpose programming languages. You don’t need to be an expert, but do need to be able to handle some coding.
- Some familiarity with survey collection software e.g., (Qualtrics, Decipher, Alchemer, Survey Monkey). You don't need to be an expert, but do need some exposure.
- Desire to enhance Python, SQL, and research methodology skills through self-learning and on-the-job training.
