Description:
- Lead in the execution of the ModNotice / Hold kit BOM’s and maintain assigned aircraft configuration documentation
- Compile, analyze and provide status on shortages and availability by project and aircraft for all assigned activities
- Coordinate with Engineering Group(s) for changes to the aircraft spares list
- Interface with Projects, Engineering Group(s) and Procurement Buyers to establish achievable goals and schedules
- Research new requirements as they become available from Engineering Group(s)
- Determine the most effective method to give a make or buy decision for kit requirements
- Assist in revision of shop floor layout and new manufacturing equipment requirements
- Create and maintain planning documentation which details the sequential steps for fabricating, processing, assembling, or modifying mechanical, electrical, avionic and composite components and assemblies.
- Define the most efficient method to fabricate and assemble components for kit requirements
- Prepare concepts for interchangeability and part replacement as needed
- Determine requirements for and implementation of new manufacturing equipment
- Support process improvement initiatives by reviewing industry related publications for evolving certification standards and practices
- Incorporate advancements into departmental process and procedures
- Ensure departmental and company policies are incorporated within all new document releases
- Initiate and lead in program reviews, cost reduction initiatives, system modification and data management
- Act as focal for Methods/Material for ROM bids for proposed projects/programs
- Provide solutions to a variety of technical/business related problems of moderate scope and complexity

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- You typically have 7 to 8 years’ experience in Methods or related field
- You have thorough knowledge of aircraft systems
- You have thorough knowledge of aircraft parts and location of installations
- You have thorough knowledge of CATIA v5 to include modeling and analysis
- You have thorough knowledge of technical principles and theories related to manufacturing fundamentals
- You have thorough knowledge of MRP principles and supply chain management
- You have thorough knowledge of CAS, SAP, and Configuration databases
- You have basic project management skills necessary to participate on both inter-departmental and intra-departmental teams and special projects
- You have thorough knowledge of aircraft configuration control documentation
- You have thorough knowledge of aircraft tooling concepts
- You have excellent oral and written skills
- You are able to interface comfortably and effectively with all management levels
