Job description
BAE Systems is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business in Kingsport, TN. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will work with management to help align Human Resources and Business performance objectives. You will support various Human Resources programs such as new hire orientation, employee relations, investigations, talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation, compliance, diversity, and inclusion.
Location/Schedule/Travel:
- This position is onsite in Kingsport, TN
- This role will work a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off
- There may be less than 10% travel for corporate events and offsites
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Human Resources and cross-functional management to support the workforce, supporting a culture that is diverse, inclusive, and ethical
- Support and promote two way communication mechanisms for the workforce to influence and promote exceptional employee engagement
- Support people processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Support continuous improvement and change management throughout the organization
- Support projects as determined in the annual planning process and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives
- Leverage existing shared services and expert teams to deliver outstanding HR support to the business
- Support an environment of positive employee relations
- Maintain confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and remain approachable and fair
- Balance business needs with employee needs, and spend significant time interfacing directly with employees/client base
- Coach, counsel, and guide managers in effective employee relations
- Champion a culture of safety and health, including continuous improvement of safety standards
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Human Resources
- Experience in Human Resources programs such as new hire orientation, employee relations, investigations, talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation, compliance, diversity, and/or inclusion
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and remain approachable and fair
- Ability to coach, counsel, and guide managers in effective employee relations
- Ability to display a high level of work prioritization and customer follow through
- Ability to work independently and use good judgement under pressure
- Able to work within a matrix organization
- Professional and approachable displaying solid interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
- Certification in Human Resources
- Experience in Manufacturing/Production supporting a skilled trades workforce
- Experience in Defense (DoD) or Government (GOCO) environments
- Experience in Excel Data Management, Analysis, or Reporting
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $52470 - $89190

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
