Job description
The Western Group, a leading manufacturer of woven wire and welded wire screens and perforated plate screening media, is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. We pride ourselves on supplying high-quality polyurethane and rubber screens to the sand and gravel industry. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with product selection and purchase, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers via phone and in-person to understand their needs.
- Provide detailed information about our products, including their uses, features, warranties, and prices.
- Prepare quotes for manufactured screens, considering machinery times, labor, and material costs.
- Process orders and sales transactions, ensuring accurate pricing and delivery schedules.
- Handle returns and issue refunds or credits as necessary.
- Support outside sales representatives with inside sales activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; college experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service or inside sales. Experience in sheet metal fabrication or the sand and gravel industry is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software, including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SYSPRO ERP system is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Dependable with a good attendance record.
