Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree and two or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade 3 (Hourly).

Position Description:

The Commonwealth Center for the Humanities and Society (CCHS) and the Louisville Conference on Literature and Culture (LCLC) offer a variety of programs designed to appeal to the public and help make the University a cultural center for the city and the Commonwealth.

The Department Coordinator II will assist in event coordination and staffing for CCHS and LCLC activities and as needed, College-wide events. 

Duties may include: The ideal candidate will understand and be conversant in various interdisciplinary research methods and fields of study, connecting faculty to opportunities that would allow faculty to develop, promote and share their thoughts and findings with the University of Louisville community, colleagues in their particular fields of study, and the Louisville Metro Community at large.

Preferred qualifications: PhD in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be dependable, flexible, creative and have an ability to work on several projects at the same time. 

Target Compensation Maximum:

$27.85

Target Compensation Minimum:

$18.56

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
