Job description
This Ecommerce Manager role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities to drive online sales, optimize user experience, and ensure the overall success of the ecommerce platform .
The eCommerce Manager will stay on top of new trends and developments within the eCommerce industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in eCommerce, digital marketing, and/or merchandising. To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of the e-commerce industry. You should also be highly motivated, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Lead and develop an ecommerce team, regularly providing guidance and support all while fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture
- Oversee and manage relationships with SEO vendors to optimize website visibility and ranking
- Develop and execute site merchandising strategies to enhance user experience and drive sales
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align promotions from a creative and messaging perspective
- Act as the representative for ecommerce in cross-functional meetings, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives while providing insights and recommendations on ecommerce-related matters
- Manage the entire product lifecycle on the website, including accurate and compelling product copy and attributes
- Ensure product information is up-to-date and aligned with brand standards
- Streamline workflows to enhance efficiency
- Analyze and understand sales trends, performance metrics, and key drivers of ecommerce revenue
- Analyze and optimize customer journeys through the website, identifying pain points and areas for improvement
- Implement strategies to enhance user navigation and conversion rates

- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Experience in ecommerce, digital marketing and/or merchandising
- Knowledge of retail brands, products and trends as well as a firm understanding of the direct-to-consumer eCommerce business
- Self-starter with ability to lead and function independently with proven ability to work cross-functionally and across all levels of the company
- Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics and content management systems and processes
- Basic understanding of html and css to enable the creation of new website page experiences to drive customer conversion and increased revenue.
- Prior experience working with retail focused web-platforms (ex. Websphere, Shopify)
- Proven ability to leverage website management tools to enhance the customer experience (ex. Bloomreach, Adobe Analytics)
- College degree, preferably in Business, IT or Operations Management
