About the Role
The General Dynamics Land Systems Summer 2024 Internship Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three-month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real-world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals. As part of your summer experience, you will join our team and use your education, experience, and creativity to make an impact.
As a member of the international program team you will play a role in supporting the team in program management activities , while supporting strategic projects, with a view to grow General Dynamics Land Systems business across International markets.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role
- Provide tactical support to the Program departments day to day operations including the preparation of reports and deliverables, budget activity, and analysis of data
- Assist with cost, schedule and performance of departmental projects
- Assist the Program team with activities associated with the pursuit of business opportunities
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and ensure actions are completed in a timely manner
- Support the team in the creation of presentations and special projects, as required
Qualifications Sought
- Pursuing a bachelors degree majoring in Business Operations, Finance or Marketing, and other related fields
- Attained at least a sophomore status based on university/college's class standing requirements at the start of the internship.
- Preferred - GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
- Must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an official college or university transcript from their school before their first day of employment.
- Must be able to complete a minimum of a full time, 3-month assignment
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Well-rounded professional who can evaluate a business for its weaknesses and strengths
- Strong business acumen with a willingness to expand their business development experience
- A willingness to work to meet project deadlines
- Good negotiation and ability to influence
- A solution-oriented approach and the ability to keep calm under pressure and solve problems in a timely and effective manner
