Epic Aircraft, based in beautiful Bend, Oregon, is the leading designer and manufacturer of high performance, all composite, six-seat single-engine turboprop aircraft. We're seeking talented and creative individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the composite aerospace technology industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As part of the Engineering Department the  Electrical Engineering Intern will participate as a valuable member of Epic Aircraft's Engineering team. This is a full-time, paid summer internship available to students currently enrolled in an applicable Engineering or Aerospace program. The intern will gain real world experience doing a variety of tasks related to Epic E1000  GX Aircraft. 

• Participate as a multidisciplinary Engineering team member
• Assist Engineers and other team members with the design, development, and testing of electrical aircraft parts and components and equipment
• Work with other departments (Manufacturing, Quality, Flight line) to design test equipment to help increase efficiency on the manufacturing line.
• Assist in the test analysis and other test-related tasks including test set-up and coordination

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Junior or Senior Level College Student working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in an Engineering Specialty of Aerospace, Electrical or closely related discipline.

• Ability to create test instructions
• Ability to create basic wire diagrams
• Basic electrical and/or avionics troubleshooting experience
• Ability to follow prescribed processes, specifications, and guidelines
• Work well independently and in a team with a positive attitude & professional presence
• Fundamental understanding of basic engineering principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Must be reliable and dependable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record
• Must be Authorized to work in the U.S. for Any Employer without Sponsorship now or in the future

Must have reliable transportation. Public transportation does not stop at the Bend Airport. Relocation & housing assistance are not provided.
