Are you looking to play a large role in the life of the claim cycle? As a Managed Repair Expert I you are responsible for attending to the daily needs of insurance carriers, vendors, and customers in order to provide excellent service through accurate communication and precisely managing the workflow of a portfolio of claims. This high pace position requires 40 hours per week with additional hours, as requested/required, based on business needs in the event of catastrophe or increased work volume.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and triage the claims process including, but not limited to processes for structure damage, personal property damage, ALE, tarping, emergency services, water mitigation, catastrophe damage, and additional claim perils to work towards project completion and resolution
Communicate with vendors, adjusters, customer, agents and claims representatives regarding claim status updates, payment status updates, workmanship issues, and issue resolution; communication includes but is not limited to email, file notation, and inbound and outbound phone calls
Review and identify any necessary adjustments on budgets, appraisals and work orders
Follow up on outstanding status updates in a timely manner that are within Preferred Repair Network, carrier and vendor guidelines
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects are timely through completion, including but not limited to the specialty services, accounting and vendor management teams
Completion and review of Quality Assurance claim file reviews on less complex assignment types
- Notate and record all interactions through the claims process within the associated files
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years in the property and casualty claims adjusting, mitigation, restoration or claims management field
- Xactimate experience is required
- Adjusters license is a plus
- IICRC Water Damage Restoration Certification is a plus
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying Certification is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A thorough understanding of the property and casualty claims process
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities and processes
- Experience in handling a case load of files, and maintaining a diary to ensure proper, timely updating of those files
- Detail oriented with strong time management skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially during complex situations
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Symbility, and Salesforce is preferred
- Technical estimating skills preferred or the ability to learn in a timely manner
Environmental Factors:
- Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment
- Possibility of travel to locations outside of the office environment
Physical/Mental Skills and Abilities
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 10-50 pounds at times
- Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including ability to grasp and operate equipment
- Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information
