Job Description: As a Histology Technician, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory, responsible for processing and preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist. Your duties will include embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue samples, ensuring accuracy and precision in laboratory procedures. Additionally, you will operate and maintain laboratory equipment and adhere to safety protocols and quality control measures.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare tissue samples for microscopic analysis
Perform embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting procedures
Maintain accurate records of specimens and laboratory data
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Adhere to safety standards and quality control measures
Education and Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or related field.
HT/HTL certification from ASCP or equivalent.
Proficiency in operating histology equipment and software.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
