Job Description:

The Custodial Cleaning Worker at Active Generations will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall cleanliness of our facilities. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and an ability to work independently or as part of a team. Several shifts and days available.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked with supplies, and presentable at all times
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
• Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated areas
• Assist with setup and breakdown of rooms for meetings, events, and activities
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for members and guests

Requirements:

• Prior custodial or cleaning experience is preferred
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
• Knowledge of proper and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Effective communication skills
