Staff Accountant (Growing company)

Job description

Our client, a growing nationwide company, has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant. The staff accountant will report directly to the assistant controller and be primarily responsible for general accounting functions and month end support.

Duties include:

• Timely and accurately processing of vendor invoices
• Resolve and support invoicing discrepancies
• Balance sheet entries and reconciliations
• Recording of recurring transactions
• Preparing month end close journal entries
• Reconciliation of corporate credit card accounts
• Assisting with annual audit, providing supporting documentation for auditors
• Other duties as assigned

Candidates for the staff accountant position should have 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is also required.
