Apprenticeships are innovative training programs that allow employers to develop and prepare their future workforce while providing individuals with a learn-while-you-earn approach to career development. Apprenticeships include:

• Paid Job - Apprentices are paid employees who produce high-quality work while they learn skills that enhance their employers' needs.
• On-the-Job Learning - Develops skilled workers through structured learning in a work setting.
• Classroom Learning - Improves job-related skills through education in a classroom setting (virtual or in-person).
• Mentorship - Provides apprentices with the support of a skilled worker to assist and enhance critical hands-on learning.
• Credentials - Offers a portable, nationally recognized credential to be issued at the completion of the program.

We are continually interested in adding employees to our team who would like to advance their careers through a paid apprenticeship. We offer the following apprenticeship programs:

• Tool & Die
• Mechatronics
• Robotic Technician
• Leadership Development
• Machining
• Quality
• Welding

The apprenticeship process includes job shadowing, application to the program, an interview process, and a 60-day paid work commitment before beginning classes.

Apply online, or in person to start your application process for an apprenticeship. Upon receipt of your application, if selected, you will be scheduled to attend two 2-hour sessions to explore the career of your choice at one of our two locations. After completion of the job shadows, interviews will be scheduled to discuss apprenticeship opportunities. Individuals accepted into an apprenticeship program will be required to complete a 60-day paid work commitment in various facility positions before the apprenticeship begins. After 60 days, a positive performance review will enroll you in the next session of apprenticeship classes. Classes begin yearly in January and August and will be held at South Western High School, Hanover, PA.

Employment with Leonhardt Manufacturing is contingent on applicants ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
