Role: Disaster Recovery Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Hartford CT or Charlotte NC

Duration: 6 Months ( C2H )

Rate: 45/hr on c2c

Visa: USc GC Only

Client: Confidential

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 6 month contracttohire opening and needs to meet Client fulltime conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B OPT CPT etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.

Summary: This job function works with all IT areas to create implement test and track Resiliency Recovery plans for Disaster Recovery and Major Cyber event . Reviews required information hosting types and/or locations validates technology and their backup details. Assist the t echnical areas in recovery tasks as documented. Conducts and participates in routine tests of the recovery plans and documents findings. Works with subject matter experts and confirms the ability of application recovery. Services personnel education needs and assists them in performing their specific tasks. Works at the staff level with operations and support units responsible for critical business function restoration applications systems and other technical support inquires May have oversight responsibility in instructing assigning directing and checking the work of the resources within their section/department. This includes Legacy ( OnPremise) Cloud (AWS) SaaS and Hybrid responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the technical areas in recovery tasks as documented.
• Conducts and participates in routine tests of the recovery plans and documents findings.
• Engages with subject matter experts and confirms the ability of application recovery.
• Provides personnel with education needs and assists them in performing their specific tasks.
• Works across all areas of IT operations and support units responsible for critical business function restoration and other technical support inquires.
• May have oversight responsibility in instructing assigning directing and checking the work of the resources within their section/department. This includes Legacy (OnPremises) Cloud (AWS) SaaS and Hybrid responsibilities.

Skillset:

• Knowledge of application construction and tier level concepts
• 3 years of IT and IT Disaster Resiliency experience
• 1 years of IT Cyber Recovery experience and knowledge of cyber attack affects on IT.
• Ability to capture and translate details timelines milestones and process
• 1 years of experience working directly with AWS cloud practices and terminology
• Excellent communication skills
• Team Player ability to interact with multifaceted IT teams
