Job Summary: - The Senior Production Coordinator is responsible for manufacturing batches of Enzyme mixtures as instructed and detailed in the Batch Process Instructions. They will work closely with Customer Service & Logistics to ensure production batches are scheduled and produced to meet shipping deadlines.
- You will work closely with Purchasing to ensure inventories are recorded correctly and raw materials and supplies or ordered in a timely manner.
- You will manage the dispensing equipment that is sent to customers and field representatives. This includes monitoring inventories and supplies, assembling parts and equipment skids, and shipping required equipment to customers and / or field service personnel.
- You will support the production plant, facility maintenance and safety, and field service equipment.
- This role reports to the Operations Manager and works with operations, field sales/service group, production, and logistics personnel on issues relating to product manufacturing.
- Other key duties include:
- Creates, promotes, and maintains a clean, safe working environment.
- Works closely with QC to ensure products meet all specifications.
Essential Job Functions: - Key skill requirements
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, pumps, hand trucks, forklift, mixer/blender machinery and computer equipment.
- Must be certified and skilled to drive a forklift.
- Read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend rules, instructions, manuals and product recipes and material identifications.
- Mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Hands-on problem solving, ability to fix or get things fixed in real time.
- Computer/MIS skills
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel and Word, as these are used daily in for this position
- Communicates effectively verbally and electronically utilizing email, Teams video calls, in-person, and by other means.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Personal management skills
- Tenacity to work hard to create value; an entrepreneurial mindset to pursue the goals and not just the task assigned to him/her. Production is an area where things can change and seeing issues and improved methods are an every-day need
Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 55 pounds and occasionally handle drums weighing up to 450 pounds with a drum hand truck.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Location/Environment: - Individual will be based in Norcross, GA at EDT headquarters.
- Requires use of safety equipment as dictated by work area (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
- Work is inside and the typical noise level fluctuates.
- Position involves working with mechanical equipment and chemicals at times.
Qualifications, Education and Experience: - Technical or bachelor’s degree desired.
- Experience in an industrial position where individual gained knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes.
- Experience in a position where individual gained knowledge of maintenance activities and fluid handling systems.
- Forklift certification is required.
