Job description
Global chemical leader is searching for an experienced Capital Project Manager, to oversee all aspects of project management from project scope development to commissioning and startup. You will work with multi-discipline teams, both internal and external, to refine scope, estimate costs, and ensure successful project completion within defined objectives. The role includes project controls focusing on budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, as well as managing and controlling projects to meet objectives in an economical and timely manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline with 5+ years of Project Engineering experience in heavy industrial or chemical process industries.
Experience with electrical or instrumentation preferred
PMP designation with experience in a stage-gated process is preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide overall project management
Develop and manage scope to meet or exceed needs and expectations
Work with project teams to refine scope, estimate costs, and gain funding approval
Ensure successful completion of projects according to defined objectives
Make independent decisions on work methods and procedures within project scope
Prepare budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans for multi-discipline resources
Manage and control projects to ensure objectives are met in an economical and timely manner
Ensure applicable standards, procedures, and quality control requirements are met
Adhere to management of change processes and documentation in alignment with Process Safety Management requirements
Serve as a liaison between operations, maintenance, technical groups, and outside contractors/suppliers
