Peckham Inc. - Application Developer
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and maintain C# web applications for our contract customers and internal needs.
- Create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
- Create and integrate backend services and APIs.
- Optimize mobile and web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using frameworks such as React Native, Xamarin, or others.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues to ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to propose new ideas for continuous improvement.
- Participate in fundamental design of mobile web applications.
- Develop applications for Peckham’s workforce and contracted clients using utilizing.
- Work on assigned projects as a member of a team participating in the agile development methodology.
- Escalation technical support for assigned projects.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow IT Software Development Life Cycle policies.
- Maintain and improve application and database operational efficiency.
- Create automated processes and monitoring methods for periodic maintenance tasks.
- Perform QA activities, create and run test plans related to assigned projects.
- Create required documentation, security plans, etc. as needed for assigned projects.
- Prepare written research information, design plans and diagrams along with detailed implementation plans for assigned projects.
- Adhere to ITSM/ITIL good practices and clearly and consistently document work.
- Provide training for Peckham Inc. staff and team members for assigned projects.
- Engage in continuing education resources provided by Peckham such as Pluralsight and tuition reimbursement programs.
- After hours support (evenings and / or weekends) will be required on an on-call, rotation basis.
- Process confidential data in compliance with guidelines.
- Manage and resolve IT tickets related to assigned systems.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment.
- Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires passing and maintaining federal and state security background checks as well as obtaining multiple security clearances to meet contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required
- An Associate degree from an accredited institution, OR Certificate of Completion from a Coding Bootcamp OR 2 years work experience in related job function.
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Experience in object-oriented application development for web-based intranet/extranet/internet types of applications, using Microsoft C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with Windows Server and IIS
- Experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Language
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Security experience and/or security certifications
- Competency with Avaya CMS or similar systems and their data fundamentals
- Competency with procedural data transformation processing tools
- Competency with t-SQL, MS SQL DBMS, MS SQL SSIS
- Competency with IT service management systems, KPI measurement and management reporting
- Competency with integrating HRIS system data
