Job description
We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our revive Community Team.
The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for for facilitating and coordinating a robust community engagement strategy for Revive Community, with a particular focus on building relationships with volunteers, local community partners, and service providers. The Engagement Coordinator overseas all aspects of the solicitation of community involvement and development for Revive Community in an effort to increase the visibility of the organization, its programs, community events, as well as the number of active participants and supporters.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with potential supporters within the state and local community to provide services around housing, education, financial capability, health/mental, and food assistance.
- Develop partnerships within the community to support outreach and funding initiatives.
- Assist the Executive Director of Revive Community with developing the overall public relations/marketing/ communications plan for Revive Community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with program recipients, donors, vendors, volunteers, and supporters of Revive Community.
- Manage Revive Community social media sites by posting stories, videos, and photos.
- Assist in updating the website.
- Coordinate and distribute correspondence, i.e. invites and e- blasts, appropriate thank you letters and follow up letters.
- Attend events and speak on behalf of revive Community.
- Coordinate Revive Community Outreach events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Social Work, Public Relations Marketing or Communications.
- Grant writing experience preferred.
- Two years of experience in a community engagement and/or communications-related role is highly preferred.
- Superior persuasive writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Mac computer.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, marketing, fundraising and event planning.
- Excellent organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills, plus attention to detail, sound judgment, integrity and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
