Job description
Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help fill an AP Clerk role. The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for heavy invoice volume and handle all aspects of payments on behalf of the company and work closely with all department managers.
Responsibilities - Invoice to review all submitted items for accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
- Run and review reports to identify any outstanding items and ensure efficiency.
- Monitor Accounts Payable; respond promptly to issues that arise.
- Review expense reimbursement requests and process payments.
- Prepare wire payments in banking software.
- Record sales/use tax for multi-state locations.
- Research open invoices and respond to vendor inquiries and statements.
- Follow up on outstanding checks and maintain abandoned property files.
- Prepare AP reports when necessary.
Requirements - Bachelor Degree, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience is preferred, but consider strong internship background
- Knowledge of general accounting practices and sales and use tax compliance.
- Experience with recording receipts and processing disbursements.
- Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
