Position Overview: Director, Finance Business Partners
As the Director of Finance Business Partners, you will play a pivotal role in providing oversight, guidance, and support to our financial teams both domestically and globally. Your responsibilities will include driving process standardization, ensuring key controls, maintaining process continuity across operational finance, and guaranteeing timely, accurate, and compliant finance and grant reporting. Acting as a crucial liaison between financial leadership and programmatic counterparts, you will navigate the complexities of different regions and global offices, offering financial perspectives and analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

Financial Monitoring and Coordination:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of regional program needs, including funding requirements and restrictions.
- Implement methodologies for reconciling and analyzing financial information across various levels.
- Facilitate the timely development and dissemination of internal financial reports and analyses in collaboration with local and HQ financial staff.

Financial Management and Operations:
- Collaborate proactively with financial teams to ensure adherence to organizational policies, processes, and standards.
- Provide support in grant proposals, planning, budgeting, compliance, and related functions.
- Guide financial reporting, audit, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Performance Management:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of business and finance performance measures.
- Lead training and communication efforts to support organizational finance needs.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning initiatives across the global finance organization.

Other Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the organization's financial leadership and other relevant teams as required.
- Travel to organization sites as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:
- Eight or more years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within an NGO, foundation, or USG setting.
- Strong background in accounting/financial management principles.
- Excellent critical thinking, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook) and standard accounting software.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence Systems, Data Analytics, or Financial Planning and Analysis Systems.
- Experience managing teams across global locations.
