What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct Job Cost Accounting
- Conduct Inventory expensing
- Prepare Financial and operational reports
- Analyze and extract data to predict variances, and metrics, and assess business operations to identify trends and recommendations
- Create financial models to support initiatives, identify trends, risks, and areas of improvements
- Forecasting and Creating Budgets for internal teams - Land Acquisition, Project Managment, etc
- Perform various accounting-related and administrative responsibilities
What You Need for this Position
- 3+ years of financial analyst reporting or other related position
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced-Proficient Excel skills (knowledge of Vlookup, Pivot Tables, and formulas)
- Knows their way around Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with JD Edwards, Enterprise One(E1) or similar tools /ERP systems
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools (a plus!)
- Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability
- Homebuilding experience with a publicly held company (a plus!)
- Knowledge of the real estate industry
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of internal customers or employees of the organization and interface professionally with home office counterparts
- Knowledge of GAAP and SOX
- Working knowledge of financial statements and internal controls
- Ability to prepare detailed financial reports including but not limited to budget forecasting, pricing analysis, data trends in the market, inventory expensing, financial projects, and more
- Experience with data extraction, inputting dating, data analysis, and formulating data reports
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related major required
