CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.  CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. Responsibilities

CHI St. Alexius is looking for ED Tech to join their busy Emergency Department team!

The Emergency Department Technician works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and in collaboration with other health care providers.  The Emergency Department Technician assists registered nurses and Physicians in the delivery of individualized care of Emergency Department patients, according to unit policies and procedures. 

What You'll Do:

Skills: Excellent communication skills are required because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and medical center staff.  Accountable for own conduct and promotes and supports positive working relationships among Emergency Department staff, and between other disciplines and staff.  Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Basic computer skills, telephone etiquette, and basic receptionist skills required. Ability to work in fast paced environment, while providing excellent customer service is required. 

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or GED

Certification, Licensure, Requirements: Basic Life Support certification within orientation period and meets re-certification as required. Must be listed on the Nurse Assistant Registry operated by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or Certified Nurse Assistant certificate issued by the North Dakota Department of Health. Non-violent crisis intervention training within orientation period and meets re-certification as required.

Preferred: Hospital experience working as a NA/CNA, EMT/Paramedic  training/experience
