SAIC has a funded need for a Space Protection Enterprise Architect to fill a key position supporting a Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer charged will delivering solutions across a range of rapidly expanding and complex space and ground system initiatives.
The Space Protection Enterprise Architect is a member of a team of high-performing mission and system engineers directly supporting the Government to define, develop, and evolve a state-of-the-art ground software system. This position serves on-site with the Government customer located in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead coordination with SMEs to define and document space protection mission threads and use cases in support of software system development
- Standardize mission thread and use case documentation across multiple capability areas to provide a single voice from the Government to the Prime software developer
- Evaluate tools and products for their ability to meet enterprise requirements or enhance system capabilities
- Lead evaluation of architecture excursions in support of changing customer needs
- Principal reviewer of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) contract deliverables from Prime software developer
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and 14+ years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 12+ years of relevant experience
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Experience developing DoDAF architecture viewpoints for DoD or IC missions
- Knowledge of modern agile software development principles
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting the NRO
- Experience developing IT systems in support of Space Domain Awareness or other Intelligence missions
- Experience using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx Enterprise Architect, etc.)
- Experience applying modern software development principles
