The purpose of the Knowledge Manager role is to oversee the strategy and quality of product documentation and content experience for a wide range of MX products both internally and externally. This position has an important role on our Knowledge Management team; it requires the candidate to develop and maintain strategies for creating, organizing, and developing processes and their resulting content that enable external and internal knowledge sharing.
Candidates should have proven experience working on documentation or writing teams such as technical writing or marketing, or software sales and have worked with engineers, designers, and product managers to achieve success of their initiatives. This role requires a content specialist who is passionate about documentation and the processes that surround it.
Job Duties
Audit and evaluate our current client-facing and internally-facing documentation for inaccuracies and improvements.
Identify and document product education gaps both internally and externally.
Define the knowledge management strategy for an internal knowledge base and maintain high quality, up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill level.
Implement knowledge management methodologies to help plan for the creation, delivery, and governance of useful, usable content.
Monitor the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives, gather feedback, and analyze metrics to assess the impact of knowledge sharing efforts, to identify areas for improvement, refine processes, and implement changes to optimize knowledge management practices within the organization.
Partner with Marketing, Sales Enablement, HR, Product, and Engineering to learn the knowledge and documentation needs of each department and build useful, reusable content for their programs.
Use data and research to evaluate content’s impact and derive customer insights that will help us solve our biggest customer problems and show real business results, proactively sharing business outcomes with leaders, executives, and other stakeholders across the business.
Evaluate common client problems and experiences to identify new opportunities for content creation and education.
Drive content management strategies for support and onboarding as well as business process and procedures.
Work on a team of technical writers, product managers, and engineers, business ops, and product design to enable our partners, clients, and internal teams to self-serve with information
Strategically manage relationships with partner teams across the company, including product, program, design, engineering, and support teams.
Job Requirements
3+ years working in knowledge management and implementing knowledge management frameworks and models.
2+ years working in product development, management, or engineering.
3+ years technical writing experience
Proven experience in process improvement, product operations
Experience in engineering requirements and software development lifecycles.
Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree is a plus), in information systems, information technology, knowledge management, product management, or a related field.
Experience in knowledge management systems
Interest or experience in the fintech industry
Optional experience in Zendesk, Confluence, Mindtouch or other KM technologies
Optional experience with content management systems, data mining, knowledge mapping, and more.
Work Environment
At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration. Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and in-office days. Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. Compensation
The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $71,000 to $82,250.
This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
