The primary focus of the position is to provide program logistical support to the UC Marin Master Gardener.
UC Cooperative Extension Marin's mission is to sustain a vital agriculture, environment, and community in Marin County by providing University of California research-based information in agriculture, natural resource management, healthy living, and youth development. We consult with individuals and organizations, publish newsletters, produce information for mass media, and conduct seminars and workshops..
UCCE programs work with County farmers to support sustaining a food system that is safe, productive, environmentally friendly and economically viable; educates landscape managers, pest control operators, and other urban pest management professionals about the principals of integrated pest management (IPM), reducing negative impacts to the environment and community. This includes UC Marin Master Gardener Program volunteers who answer questions and educate home residents and the general public on sustainable landscape practices and pest management.
This position is a limited term appointment that is 40% variable.
Pay Scale: $25.20/hour to $30.01/hour.
