Job description

We’re hiring a paralegal to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, coordinating law office activity, and conducting legal research. Responsibilities: • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, advance health care directives, HIPAA authorization, and powers of attorney • Prepare sub-trust allocation schedules and distribution plans • Manage trust administration and maintain files and compliance calendars • Notify beneficiaries • Prepare and file all necessary documentation for distributions and taxes • Ensure compliance with services related to trust entity and maintenance Qualifications: • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred • Talented communicator and writer • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Compensation: $37,000 - $77,000 Annually
