There is tremendous excitement and potential in generative AI. At Microsoft, we have a robust AI portfolio with AI services, Machine Learning platform, and tools for developers and data scientists to build with AI, including an industry leading generative AI offering.

We are looking for a dependable marketing leader to define the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for a key component for our business, Azure AI services. Decision makers and developers are looking to learn about AI services including generative AI and how to adopt generative AI to create market differentiation. We are focused on helping organizations take full advantage of AI, and we are investing heavily in programs that provide technology, resources, and expertise to empower developers to build modern intelligent applications.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for sales enablement and support as well as defining a Go-to-Market approach for new launches for the AI services portfolio, landing the plan in market across content, events, campaigns, and other marketing levers. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Sales Enablement
  • Deliver sales enablement and field support. Collaborate across sales, partner, and engineering organization to develop sales ready collateral including pitch decks, FAQs, decision maker and technical blogs to support new product announcements, updates, and portfolio changes. Develop content that best resonates with customer value. Partner with sales to land messaging with sales organization and create a feedback loop to iterate/update content as needed. Create strategic partnerships and participate in pre-sales meetings with customers.

Go-To-Market
  • Identify and direct marketing strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, customer advocacy, and renewal of a product and/or solution. Identify target customers, define and execute the strategy for the end-to-end customer journey, partner within marketing to create user stories, demos, and scenarios to convey the big picture. Define Go-to-Market strategies and plans, including marketing mix, investments, product placement, and incentive strategies to deliver customer and partner success, resulting in revenue, growth, and share outcomes. Partners with others to define success criteria and performance metrics, such as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); track performance against success metrics and proactively act on performance. Build the strategy and partner to land revenue or engagement growth priorities, business targets, monetization strategies, plans, and metrics with sales and channel teams. Manage and measure collaboration to land these with Sales and channel teams and partners to correct and improve results. Develop an engagement plan for new launches to interact with customers and partners via various channels with a medium degree of supervision. Demonstrate the product in a one-to-many environment and/or present at larger industry and partner events.

Cross-Functional Orchestration
  • Develop partnerships (e.g., Marketing, Partner, Sales, and Engineering and others) to lead and deliver differentiated customer value and company growth. Drive initiatives and programs across teams to improve and meet organizational goals. Share demonstrated best practices to relevant stakeholders to improve product marketing and business performance. Drive impact through other teams.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
    • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
  • Experience with Data/ AI/Machine Learning/Analytics offerings
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new and emerging technologies
  • Experience with solving multi-faceted problems
  • Ability to understand and communicate the value of complex technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and storytelling skills
  • Project management and cross-group collaboration skills

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
