Summary of Position
Effectively assist in leadership, product ownership, strategic vision, and staff development to foster a dynamic culture, modeling the core values and keeping in alignment with the USNH mission statement, in support of the enterprise business applications for USNH . Reporting to the Director and Service Line Leader for the Business Applications Administration and Integration group ( BAAI ), the Assistant Director and ERP Product Owner oversees the day-to-day functions, of the project management, business analysis and operations support responsibilities for the BAAI team with an eye toward aligning the ERP product roadmap to strategic goals for all business offices.

- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies for process and performance improvement
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies such as PMBOK , and PMI certification
- Experience working in a higher education environment and understanding of annual higher education business cycles

Duty/Responsibility
Product Owner of the ERP
- Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/organization initiatives related to the ERP .
- Plans and prioritizes product development and product feature backlog by working with stakeholders to evaluate needs, business requirements and business value ROI .
- Coordinates with the rest of the ET&S team to establish solutions, project milestones, tasks, time estimates and expected timeframes.
- Sets expectations with stakeholders to ensure proper understanding of expected outcome of work, anticipated involvement and time frame to complete it.
- Collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects, escalating as appropriate.
- Uses influencing and negotiation skills to collaborate across USNH to deliver high-impact and cost-effective shared solutions.
- Provides leadership and oversight of IT projects work related to the ERP .
- Operationalizes customer support for new features and functionality of the product post go-live.
- Oversees and coordinates maintenance activities related to the ERP including patches, upgrades, and database refreshes based on the vendor released schedule.
- Maintains current knowledge of new feature sets, industry trends, concepts, best practices and procedures related to the ERP .
- Serves as product ambassador and thought leader, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the ERP .
Duty/Responsibility
Staff Management
- Oversees the team project managers and business analysts working on all the projects within the department and the operations support team handling production level issues and security for our service line.
- Participates in resource allocation for incoming projects and overall capacity planning effort for the ET&S BAAI group.
- In collaboration with the Director and area leads, participates in recruitment, on-boarding, selection, hiring and training for the new team members.
- Listens to team member feedback, resolving issues or conflicts and removing barriers to progress and/or success.
- Provides team recognition and appreciation in celebrating successes and empowers team members to improve their confidence, product knowledge and communication skills.
- Conducts proactive regular staff evaluations, through annual performance reviews and regular 1:1 coaching sessions.
- Fosters a professional development driven working environment by encouraging training and providing mentorship for members of the team.
- Reviewer and approver of subordinate's time-off requests.
Duty/Responsibility
Project Management and Business Analysis
- Ensures customer understands expected outcome of work, anticipated involvement and time frame to complete it.
- Ensures projects are completed within budget, scope and are on schedule; engaging third party vendors and internal team members as appropriate.

- Utilizes Team Dynamics, Microsoft Teams and other provided applications and/or technology to optimize internal collaboration and to hold the team accountable to established metrics.
- Supports operational communication to affected departments and assists in coordinating resources if a broader incident related to our Service Line arises.
