Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to join our Research & Development team as a Technical Service Representative in our Evansville, IN research facility. The main purpose of this position is to provide customer satisfaction through the timely resolution of customer process issues, complaints, color formulation, formulation improvements, and chemistry. This role is to provide solutions to customer issues by finding solutions in a timely manner to resolve issues as quickly as possible and to continue to strengthen the relationship with the customer and product feasibility. A Technical Service Representative will work hand in hand with Red Spot Chemist, Management, Customers, and in collaboration with other Red Spot Departments in North America to meet their needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
(Includes education, experience, and licenses/certifications required. This list may not be all inclusive.)

• GED or High School Diploma is required
• Two (2) to seven (7) years’ prior coatings development experience.
• Color matching and measurement experience expected.
• Ability to problem solve on coating projects and issues, adequately communicate status with supervisors.
• Ability to successfully pass Ishihara Test for Colour-Deficiency
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingual.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year bachelor’s degree in Technical area preferred
• Spray-paint line application experience preferred
• Good mechanical aptitude a plus

• Excellent computer and data entry skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; capable of relating to individuals at all levels of the Organization.
• Utilization of design of experiment approach (DOE); ability to document, report, present and interpret findings as well as design follow-up experiments for results.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to be flexible and meet/if needed after normal working hours or on weekends.
• Ability to maintain accurate, detailed files and records, and comply with appropriate record keeping requirements.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks, in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, make decisions, resolve issues, and meet critical time deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality company formulations, raw materials, vendors, confidential projects, etc. As well as all Company information and matters.
• Shows initiative and drive.
• Ability to interpret and adheres to all company policies, including Quality/EHS procedures and policies, and all applicable government regulations.
