Surgical Assistant

PRN

Call and Weekends required

JOB SUMMARY:

• Provides direct assistance to the primary surgeon during surgical procedures
• Performs peri-operative assessment of patients under the direction and supervision of the attending physician

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification by the Association of Surgical Assistants, CPR Certification required

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

1. At least one year of vein harvesting expereince
2. cardiac surgery experience

• Minimum of two years' experience as first assistant.
