SCHEDULE: Full Time 
TRAVEL REQUIRED:  50% - 75% 

COMPENSATION: $87,428.00   to $191,247.00   base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

About Our Opportunity

Our Director Retail Operations (DRO) provides direct leadership to the Retail Operations Team to effectively support the sales and lending process consistent with association goals. Our DRO is primarily responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Retail Operations Team in multiple locations in order to deliver exceptional, customer-centric, financial services experience by facilitating workflow and processes.

How You Will Spend Your Time

• Coordinate and collaborate with leaders across the association by supporting the overall customer experience/relationship and sales delivery to drive consistency, work share, and the overall success through participating in committees / projects / strategic initiatives.
• Defining team operating standards and monitoring adherence to follow compliance and regulatory laws while adhering to internal procedures and processes.
• Leading and coaching others, setting team's direction and deploying resources, evaluating performance, reviewing pay and recommending employment decisions.
• Achieving results through remote leadership of team members throughout their assigned marketplace as well as influencing and negotiating with team members in other areas of the organization including but not limited to RVPs, FOs, Credit Analysts, CLOs, and Appraisers.
• Establishing and maintaining a positive work environment that promotes continuous learning, development, and recruiting/retention of highly effective employees.
• Maintaining technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process development capabilities.
• Being accountable for performance and results in business, functional or operational areas.
• Leading and assisting team members in the collection and processing of financial information including analyzing and submitting customer financials while complying with rules and regulations.
• Modeling organizational values, inspiring a shared vision through our shared purpose and holding their teams accountable for culture preservation and growth. Promoting and supporting Affirmative Action activities and fair treatment of employees in a discrimination-free work place and adheres to the Association’s budgetary objectives, policies and procedures.
• Conducting loan reviews per the loan review guidelines and using the findings to grant authorities, coach and develop operations team members and/or provide meaningful feedback to Regional Vice Presidents.
• Establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships while participating in Association and industry organizations to gain knowledge, share information, and enhancing the Association’s brand.

Minimum Education & Experience

High School or GED. Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Business or related field preferred. 4 years experience in financial services environment focused on sales and customer support.
