About the Role & Team
Would you enjoy collaborating closely with operators to create lifelong memories for Guests of Disney Experiences? Do you love to learn about business models which include hotels, food & beverage operations, entertainment, and Disney Vacation Club (DVC)? Are you naturally curious about understanding the “why” behind business performance?
As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Disneyland Resort Hotel Operations Finance team, you would get to analyze metrics and trends to understand and influence business results. You would provide key input on new business models and initiatives, designed to directly improve Guest experiences and drive shareholder value. You would work closely with operations leaders and partners to make a difference.
What You Will Do
You would join a fast-paced site operations finance team dedicated to impacting the Guest experience through strong partnering and creative analysis? This role supports Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa at the Disneyland Resort. Your areas of support include food and beverage operations, spa, guest services, recreation, housekeeping, Disney Vacation Club (DVC), and much more!
Every single day as a Senior Financial Analyst on the Hotels Operations Finance team is different! On any given day you might:
Collaborate with partners to review financial results, perform ad hoc analysis, propose recommendations to help drive initiatives and identify financial impacts for strategic opportunities
Seek out business anomalies and patterns leveraging analytical tools and knowledge to shed light and gain understanding of the business to bolster strategies and initiatives
Develop the financials for a forecast, annual operating plan, or 5-year long term plan inclusive of cost trending analysis and operating income cause of change analysis
Produce strong written and verbal communication that conveys data and analysis to partners at all levels, including General Managers and Vice Presidents, demonstrating ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on audience
Develop business cases for new commercial opportunities
Drive efficiency through process improvements, including maintaining and creating financial models, templates, and planning processes
Feel like an “insider” when you visit the hotels, experience a new offering, or see Guests purchasing and enjoying a product you worked on
Required Qualifications & Skills
3-5 years of experience with financial, statistical, or strategic analysis
Knowledge of forecasting and financial modeling, including proficiency in acquiring, organizing, and analyzing substantial amounts of data
Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to explain complex analytics in a way that is easily understandable and executable, and enjoy “storytelling” to engage and influence your audience
Strong attention to the detailed information and data accuracy, while keeping perspective on the bigger picture
Natural curiosity and inquisitiveness, enjoy solving problems, strong work ethic, and self-motivated
The ability to work in a team environment, in person and virtually, with a positive demeanor
Ability to prioritize projects, manage tight deadlines, perform job responsibilities accurately, and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
Utilize multiple systems and data visualization tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Tableau and Power BI, to understand, review, and summarize operating performance
Experience with SAP, Longview, or similar financial planning system
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or equivalent substitute.

The hiring range for this position is $101,800.00 - $124,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
