Job description

Follow all cash handling procedures & ensure cash is balanced daily. Reduce or eliminate daily cash overage or shortage. Follow 3 step of service to ensure excellent customer service (Greeting, Order Taking & Parting Phrase) Responsibilities: Record temperature of food items on the steam table and other hot holding units throughout the day Prepare pastries e.g., Bun and cheese, slice cakes and wraps for sale Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and surrounding areas Count and replenish stock where needed including plates, napkins and utensils Assist with the baking of products Adhere to all policies, rules and procedures of the restaurant Follow all guidelines and procedures pertaining to local Health Department Complete daily stock reports Any other duties that may be assigned Face masks / always covered Hair must be covered at all times Name Tag is to be displayed Ensure that nails are kept short and clean – no nail polish Good hygiene must be exhibited at all times Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Food Hander’s permit/ServSafe mandatory Ability to communicate effectively orally Display a pleasant countenance Ability to stand for extended hours Customers are provided with the highest level of service and there is repeat business because of this factor A high level of initiative, flexibility and dependability is displayed at all times The job is performed with professionalism and integrity People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Newark, NJ 07112: Relocate before starting work (Required) Benefits: Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Paid training Vision insurance
