Here, you’ll be supporting a workforce of 2,700 employees and 2,000 individuals in our care across 200+ facilities and homes in NJ, PA, and DE. 

The Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid in facilities operations, both at the warehouse facilities and various properties maintained by the department. 

How You Can Make a Real Impact: 

Standards

• Load and unload materials and furniture, as well as relocating furniture within the existing properties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the facilities warehouse and storage location.
• Remain flexible and adaptable in work assignments.
• Work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Assemble furniture as required.
• Maintain records including time and material used.
• Remove trash and debris from properties as needed.

Teamwork

• Assist maintenance technicians with repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Willingly and effectively cooperated with Bancroft, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
• Report faulty operations, defective material and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• May be required to work overtime or a swing shift; work nights, weekends and holidays as required in emergency situations and when circumstances dictate.

We’re Hiring Compassionate Team Members With These Qualifications: 

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• Prior experience in a similar role is helpful but not required.
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, external contractors, vendors and suppliers
• Effective organization, privatization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions
• Minimum 18 years of age
