Job description
Kelly Science and Clinical is hiring for multiple Clinical Lab Associates (CLA) in San Leandro, CA. Exciting opportunity to work with a small company achieving big advances in medicine.
Shift : M-F, standard working hours
Pay : 28-32/hr depending on experience
6 month contract role with possibility for extension
Overview :
This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can efficiently handle laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and maintain laboratory equipment under the supervision of a Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sample collection, preparation, labeling, handling, preservation, or fixation.
Assist the CLSs in a licensed clinical laboratory in performing sample processing.
Perform routine equipment maintenance according to the laboratory’s standard operating procedures.
Prepare and store reagents and buffers for sample processing and sample archiving.
Order and stock laboratory supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a biological discipline or an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biological Sciences, or related field required.
1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment
Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google platform.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
