The Lubrizol Corporation is hiring a Contract Management Specialist to assist attorneys in the negotiation and drafting of contracts. This is a non-attorney position.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates, prepares, and reviews sales and procurement contracts at the direction and under the supervision of Legal Team attorneys.
• Works directly with Procurement and Sales teams to understand contract needs, goals, and risks involved.
• Develops metrics to demonstrate performance of the Contracts team to ensure efficiency and identify improvement opportunities, providing necessary reports to Deputy CLO.

Requirements – Education, Experience, Skills

• 3+ years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts at a corporate law firm or in-house corporate legal department, with a broad array of experience in commercial legal matters. 
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university is preferred, with higher degree a distinguishing plus.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the company's contracts are finalized in a timely and efficient manner and are drafted in a manner that is consistent with the company's goals. 
• Candidate must be flexible and able to work with multiple attorneys, sales professionals, and procurement professionals in multiple practice areas.
• Fluent in oral and written English, and skillful in MS office (Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.).
• Self-starter with highly effective organizational skills and ability to handle confidential matters.
• Demonstrate good independent judgment and make recommendations to solve problems.
