About Us: The Blackbaud Giving Fund is a leading Donor Advised Fund (DAF) sponsor committed to empowering donors and charitable organizations to make a positive impact on society. Our organization serves as the donor advised fund (DAF) sponsor that supports Blackbaud’s corporate workplace giving clients and donors, peer to peer donor campaigns, and direct giving to nonprofits. In 2023 we disbursed $572M to 129,000 charities in the US and internationally. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced operations Director to lead our operations initiatives enabling the continued growth and success of our DAF services.
Position Overview: The Operations Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of the services that Blackbaud performs to deliver funds from hundreds of thousands of donors to the charities they are supporting. Reporting to the Executive Director of The Blackbaud Giving Fund, you will be responsible for program management of strategic initiatives, new product introduction, ensuring that corporate clients and donors meet regulatory compliance standards, and collaborating with Blackbaud teams to drive efficiency, productivity, and reporting on business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Blackbaud product, service, and payment departments to ensure The Blackbaud Giving Fund’s needs are incorporated into projects, improvement initiatives, and business plans and timelines.
- Develop and implement effective program management that monitors project progress, identifies bottlenecks, and coordinate with Blackbaud team members to take proactive measures to ensure on-time delivery and quality of new product features, and process improvements.
- Manage projects for The Blackbaud Giving Fund to improve the impact on the nonprofit sector, improving the infrastructure of the Giving Fund as a public charity.
- Drive next level product priorities along with business cases for Annual Plan approval.
- Stay relevant on donor advised fund regulations and compliance requirements.
- Partner with Blackbaud’s compliance team to develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company, its clients, and donors operate within regulatory guidelines. Engage with clients and donors to resolve potential regulatory violations.
- Create and maintain a reporting framework to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business results.
- Generate periodic reports for The Blackbaud Giving Fund Board, management, and stakeholders, summarizing performance and offer data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience in business administration, management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, program management and project management, ideally within a financial services or payments industry. Donor advised fund experience is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in understanding regulatory compliance and experience working with industry-specific regulations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with relevant software and tools.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial planning.
Travel: Willing to travel up to 5% annually.
