Overview: The Computer Network Specialist is responsible for performing services to enable all aspects of the network to include maintenance, sustainment of existing networks, and identification/correction of complex internet network issues. Responsibilities: - Facilitate the evaluation, design, an implementation of secure, high-speed, scalable, fault-tolerant network topologies.
- Draft technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration documents, training manuals and troubleshooting processes, updating as needed.
- Work with System Engineers, customers, and cross organizational teas to refine requirements.
- Perform detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and follow-up activities.
- Optimize end-to-end performance and dataflow management.
- Plan, design, develop, test and deploy IT solutions.
- Perform desktop, server, and network hardware and software installations, maintenance, and upgrades within the Sponsor's mission.
Job Requirements
Requirements: - 6-12 Years related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field in order to be eligible for certain positions
- Experience with installation and configuration of any levels of network devices such as firewalls, switches, routers, cabling, Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper devices.
- Demonstrated experience providing asset management for hardware inventory of software licenses.
- TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required
