Job description
Southpaws Pizza & Sports Bar in Albany, OR is looking for an assistant manager to join our team. We are located at 560 Hickory St NW. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Delegate tasks to the team and provide follow-up as needed
- Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
- Ensure the team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are met
- Help appropriately control labor costs
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Ensure appropriate inventory systems are in place
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
- Possess a positive attitude and ethics that support our values and culture
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant
- Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
