Job description
Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah serves a growing urban population residing in Weber and Morgan Counties.
We are an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan county governments to serve as the local authority for the provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior service programs.
Weber Human Services is the only organization in the State of Utah providing these services under a single administration. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS helps thousands of its neighbors by supporting and empowering our most vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the elderly, children, youth and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions.
A typical day in Stepping Stones is about providing a safe and caring environment where clients can thrive while completing substance use treatment. We are looking for male applicants (BFOQ- this is a male- only facility) who will demonstrate boundaries, while interacting in warm, welcoming, and interested manner with clients at all times. You need to have some writing skills to document incidents and attention to detail to dispense medication to clients. You will support the clinical program by providing activities and educational groups. You will help coach clients on hygiene, room cleanliness, and encourage clients to attend and participate in daily treatment including groups.
Some transportation will be necessary; therefore, you will need a valid Utah driver license. You will also need CPR/First Aid and a Food Handler's Permit, which we will pay for once you begin employment.
