Job Description:

POSITION GOALS

Functions as a permanent part-time, professional to provide student navigation and recruitment to support and reinforce success and retention of students in the EOF program. Collaborates with Recruitment Department with outreach activities. Develops contacts with high schools, other educational institutions, county, and community agencies for wider awareness of EOF benefits. The EOF Navigator/Recruiter will demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Assist with the recruitment of students into the EOF program in collaboration with the recruitment department by visiting area high schools; college fairs; and other recruitment events.

· Develop and assist with relationships with community partnerships to promote EOF enrollment.

· Manage communications with students from completion of the EOF application; including checking the status of the FAFSA , Verification Worksheet, HESAA communication, and collection of outstanding documents.

· Advise prospective and current students on academic and career development matters, through individual meetings, orientations, workshops, small group sessions, and seminars. Provide follow-up correspondence to prospective students, and high school guidance counselors.

· Provide support to reception area and phone support to the EOF office.

· Provides evening office support when applicable and support for College registration and Open House events.

· Participates in various recruiting and retention initiatives.

· Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

· Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred

· Valid driver's license, insurance, and personal vehicle

· Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team and independently

· Willingness to continually learn, change, and innovate as College policies and/or customer demands require.

· Availability to work a flexible schedule with occasional early morning, evening, and weekend activities.

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population.

· Good oral and written communication skills and experience with group presentations.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Computer literacy (Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Word).
