Job description
Burlington Catholic School is located in the heart of Burlington, WI, educating students in grades K3-8th grade. BCS is seeking a qualified, passionate teacher to teach Art to our K5-3rd graders. This position is part time beginning in September of 2023 (average two days per week). As a teacher of BCS, you would also be eligible for benefits including insurance (medical, dental, and vision), funds for continuing education, and additional funds to enhance your classroom.
As a primary Art Teacher at Burlington Catholic, candidates are required to:
Have a valid teaching license to teach Art or a willingness to complete a plan of study to gain appropriate licensure
Experience working with students at the primary age
Have a passion for Art and Art History
Create student-driven, age appropriate lessons that follow the Archdiocesan exit expectations
Have a willingness to collaborate with colleagues
Have strong communication skills
Be comfortable with implementing technology in one’s teaching and / or willingness to learn (online grading, email, etc.)
Have certification in (or willingness to get) Safeguarding All God’s People
