Job description
Resonate’s instructional designers are responsible for the bulk of the work we do. We are looking for instructional designers who are experienced, independent, and very creative. Our solutions are all custom, so we’re looking for those who can think outside the box and who thoroughly understand adult learning theory, can independently conduct analyses and evaluations and write deliverables for them, and who can effectively communicate with the project managers, graphic designers, and developers. This is a full-time and permanent position.
Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience as an ISD leading the design and development of training and performance support solutions.
- Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or closely related field.
- Experience supporting the Federal government as an instructional designer, preferably DoD customers.
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow as an instructional designer and as a leader in the instructional design community.
- Exceptional work ethic.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Positive, entrepreneurial, get-it-done attitude.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 25%.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Eligibility for a security clearance.
- Must pass a standard background check.
Responsibilities:
- Independently plan and conduct extensive research to solve complex problems, including but not limited to interviews, surveys, and literature reviews.
- Review a large amount of complex information, distill and organize it, and convey concepts clearly and concisely in a written or visual format.
- Consistently meet deadlines and work independently as part of a virtual team.
- Work on fast-paced, exciting, and impactful training and performance improvement projects.
- Working with customers, SMEs, and end-users at all levels of an organization.
- Brainstorm with teammates and customers to develop concepts and solutions for proposals, current projects, and R&D efforts.
- Design analysis, instructional, assessment, and evaluation strategies.
- Write needs analysis reports, design documents, and evaluation reports.
- Design mobile apps, simulations, games, microlearning, performance support, virtual, and augmented reality solutions.
- Design level I – IV IMI interactions for courseware and deployable simulations.
- Develop and refine frameworks, storyboards, flow diagrams, templates, video scripts, and prototypes.
- Conceptualize and write blog posts and white papers.
- Support business development and proposal writing.
- Participate in special projects as required.

- M.Ed. in Instructional Systems Design/Instructional Technology.
- TS Clearance.
- Located in or near Orlando, FL or Washington D.C.
