Job description

The Quality Control Technician will work under the direction of the Lab Manager performing sampling, testing, monitoring and reporting on the quality of aggregrates as well as concrete products in the field and in the lab.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for readymix, asphalt and aggregate sampling at plants and job sites.
• Responsible for in-house testing of material samples and reporting results.
• Responsible for testing concrete per ACI standards, including but not limited to slump, unit weight, air content, cylinders
• Wear proper safety equipment and follow safety policies outlined by the company and job sites
• Effectively communicate with appropriate personnel at job sites, batch plants and testing laboratory
• Assist operations in managing and adjusting materials at plants and in the field
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Education

• High school diploma/GED
• ACI certifications preferred

Requirements/Qualifications

• Ability to physically perform the essential job functions for the position including lifting heavy loads, use of hand tools, standing for long periods,
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather.
• Ability to work early mornings, overtime hours and occasional weekends
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to obtain and maintain all pertinent ACI certifications
• Must have a valid driver's license

Compensation – Starting $20/hr. Additional pay considered based on experience.
