Acme Abrasive is the 4th US manufacturing facility within the Tyrolit Group of companies. Acme produces high-quality Hot-Pressed Conditioning Wheels and Snagging Wheels used in the manufacture and processing of metals.

Acme Abrasive is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. The position will require you to:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Develop and leads Capital Investment Projects that align with company’s goals – cost savings, productivity improvements, new business, and safety.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations.
- Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
To qualify you must have:
- BS Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Experience using CAD, data analysis programs, and related software.
- Experience in Project Management and Lean Manufacturing Principles are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- High level of technical expertise.
- Strong analytical thinker.
