Construction Management - Intern

Job description

For over 100 years, Maguire Iron has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. Construction Management – Intern will work in the project management area of maintenance. This person will work closely with project coordinators and project managers in the business.

Position Duties

• Build project folders to Maguire standards.
• Input project information into business programs such as CRM, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner.
• Create and send project submittals to engineers.
• Execute subcontracts.
• Execute bid form for bid projects.
• Build scope documentation.
• Possess basic time management skills to complete work on-time.
• Adhere to Maguire Iron’s Personal Protective Equipment Policy and Safety Programs.
• Assist Operations Teams

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Completed first year of post-secondary education.
• Able to accept responsibility and account for own actions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in written form.
• Dependable and trustworthy.

Work Environment:

• Majority of the time is spent in an office environment.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
