Job description
Position: Receiver / Bookseller
Overview: Receivers are responsible for the flow of merchandise coming into and out of the store. Receivers are primarily responsible for accurately entering books and other merchandise into the store’s inventory software as they arrive and preparing them for shelving and merchandising. Receivers are also responsible for processing returns to the publisher. Receivers communicate with the Buying & Inventory manager and Store manager about shelving and inventory issues. They are also responsible for maintaining records and paperwork, contacting vendors as needed, and coordinating with counterparts on special-case sales including special orders, offsite events, and web orders. Receivers work at the direction of the Buying & Inventory manager and Store manager to move inventory as needed throughout the company and assist the Ecommerce & Special Sales and Events & Marketing department with shipping or other inventory processing operations.Job tags
