Job description
Registerd Nurse needed to train and supervise caregivers in a non-medical home care agency! Caring Senior Service New Braunfels, as a non-medical home care agency licensed by the State, requires an RN to oversee the training of caregivers who are caring for clients with G-tubes. Responsibilities include:
- Teach basic Gastrostomy tube information to caregivers scheduled to work with clients with G-tubes, give a test to each with an expected 100% score (information for course is available)
- Review Client specific service plan and train the caregiver(s) to client's specific needs and sign off of the training;
- Train Care Manager on how to teach the course, to facilitate training a new caregiver when the nurse is not available,
- On a monthly basis, visit the homes of the clients with G-tubes and document the supervisory visits. Be available telephonically for questions from Care Manager in charge of case. (minimal time required)
The outlined duties will take approximately 3-5 hours a month. Schedule is flexible to accommodate someone with a full time job.
